Abstrak
Introduction: It is estimated that in Indonesia 5 out of 10 pregnant women in Indonesia suffer from anemia.The maternal mortality rate (MMR) in 2015 was 305 per 100,000 live births. Anemia in pregnant women were influenced by socio-cultural factors including education, age, economy, family support, diet, and culture or beliefs. Methods: The authors conducted a systematic review of research articles on socio-cultural factors that caused anemia in pregnant women in Indonesia with a quantitative approach. The research articles were obtained from Google Scholar and PubMed Journal, with the keywords “Anemia” “Pregnant Women” “Social” “Culture” “Indonesia. The articles used in the period from 2017 to 2021 (last 5 years) in Indonesian and English. Results: Search research articles used keywords in the database (n = 1620). From these research articles, a screening process was carried out based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. So in the end of the process, there were 13 research articles that feasible and meet the criteria for a systematic review. The appropriate article was influenced of the incidence of anemia in pregnant women with education, age, economy, family support, and culture or belief. Conclusion: This systematic review describes the socio-cultural multifactors associated with the incidence of anemia in Indonesia. The factors in this study are education, age, economy, family support, diet, and culture or beliefs. © 2022 MPPKI. All rights reserved.
