Abstrak
Introduction: Chronic disease is one of the highest contributors to morbidity and mortality cases in the world. Routine health screening examinations are one of the best way to reduce the risk of diseases because early detection leads to more effective treatment s. However, routine health screening is still not popular, especially in developing countries. Objective: This study aims to determine the factors that influence a person to undergo routine health screening examinations. Method: A comprehensive literature search was performed from EBSCOHost, ProQuest, and Google Scholar databases using predetermined keywords in 2017-2023 time period. There were 227 literature found and 62 screened literature. Sixteen literature that fits the inclusion crit eria were used for this research. Result: Sixteen literatures are from peer-reviewed journals, 9 cross-sectional study, 4 multiple logistic regressions study, 1 cross-sectional and regression study, 1 T-test and regression study, and 1 qualitative research study. Conclusion: The factors that influence a person to undergo routine health screening examinations are multifactorial, but the most important factor is education level. © 2023, Muhammadiyah Palu University.
