Introduction: Cases of drug abuse in Indonesia continue to increase every year, especially in adolescents. One of the strategic efforts to eradicate it is by disseminating information about the dangers of drug abuse and trafficking. The North Sumatra Anti-Drug Student Ambassador (DPAN) is one of the forums that can be used as an approach to socialize with peers about the dangers and prevention of drugs, for that DPAN will be required to have communication skills and a good understanding of drugs. Interventions have taken the form of providing material on drugs and their prevention to increase knowledge of DPAN candidates 2022. Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of the intervention carried out in increasing the knowledge of North Sumatra 2022 DPAN candidates as role models for their peers Methods: This study uses quantitative research methods with experimental methods using a pre-posttest design. Results: The survey results revealed an increase in average values. The mean before the intervention was 69.01 while the average after the counseling was 79.4. This means that there is an average difference of 10.39 Conclusion: There is an intervention effect, namely the provision of material related to drugs and their prevention on increasing the knowledge of the 2022 DPAN candidates. © 2023 MPPKI.
