This study simulates the performance of a 120 km optical cable communication system, integrated with sensors data transmission, with 3 scenarios. (Scenario #1): telecommunication system without sensors, (Scenario #2): telecommunication system with electric sensor, (scenario #3): telecommunication system with fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) sensor. We want to ensure that communication signals operate effectively without interference from sensor signals. The result demonstrated by the Bit Error Rate (BER) values 2.46757 × 10-21 on (Scenario #1), 9.94821 × 10-18 on (Scenario #2) and 1.0383 × 10-20 on (scenario #3) and the eye diagram images being acceptable in all scenarios. It indicates that the primary function of telecommunications transmission remains unaffected by the integration of sensors. © 2025 IEEE.
