Objective: This paper aims to provide information about the conservative management of parotid sialocele using hypertonic hot saline. Case Report: A 60-year-old man developed a sialocele with secondary infection after undergoing surgical excision of a tumor in the ramus region using the extraoral Risdon approach. Incision and drainage were performed to evacuate the infection, and sclerotherapy using 3% hypertonic hot saline was chosen to treat the sialocele. Results: A good result was obtained, and no recurrence was observed in the two-month follow-up. Hypertonic saline solutions can effectively treat parotid fistulas by altering the shape of the cell membrane proteins within the affected area. The saline can be diluted to minimize any harmful effects on cells. It is recommended that the temperature of the saline solution be increased above normal body temperature to enhance its ability to promote tissue scarring. Conclusion: In this case, this method was demonstrated as a safe, low-cost, and reliable alternative for managing sialocele. © 2024 JDMFS.
