Abstrak
Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is an infectious disease that is still an endless global concern. This study aims to determine the spatial pattern of DHF cases in the Leuwigajah area. This is a descriptive epidemiological study with an ecological approach. The data of DHF-immunologically positive (IgM and IgG) 2017–2019 were obtained from Leuwigajah Health Center. Data were analyzed by spatial analysis. There is a spatial pattern of DHF (< − 2.58) in 2019 with − 9.84 of Z-score. The Nearest Neighbor Index (NNI) figure for 2017–2019 is less than one (NNI < 1), indicating that the pattern of DHF spread in the Leuwigajah Health Center area is clustered. The polygon image of DHF case map shows that the spread area has significantly increased every year (2017–2019). The results of the convex hulls analysis show that the widest spread of DHF was in 2019 covering an area of 221,100 ha. Spatial analysis can support an early warning system for dengue outbreaks as well as predictable locations of endemic infectious diseases. Furthermore, it is greatly aids in the handling and monitoring of DHF cases to identify critical control area. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Korea Spatial Information Society.
