This study examines the factors influencing the success of early-stage digital startups in Indonesia using a quantitative approach. Through a survey of 150 participants from various sectors of the startup ecosystem and fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparative Analysis (fsQCA), the research identified critical factor combinations contributing to startup success. The analysis revealed that founder programs, bootstrapping (self-funding or alternative early-stage financing), and regulation and governance are the most critical factors, appearing in both high-success configurations. The first configuration (Digital Talent ∗ Founder Programs ∗ Bootstrapping ∗ Regulation) achieved 87.54% coverage with 0.957 consistency, while the second configuration (Founder Programs ∗ Incubators ∗ Product-Market Fit ∗ Bootstrapping ∗ Regulation) achieved 85.67% coverage with 0.956 consistency. These findings provide evidence-based insights for policymakers and practitioners to foster digital startup success through targeted interventions in founder development, financial support mechanisms, and regulatory frameworks. © 2025 IEEE.
