Abstrak
Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic has put healthcare workers at risk of dealing with fatigue, stress, anxiety, depression, and insomnia. This risk must be recognized and addressed by healthcare workers as early as possible so as not to interfere with their performance. Mental resilience and good coping strategies can help health workers in dealing with stressful situations due to the pandemic crisis. Objective: This study aims to determine the extent of mental health workforce resilience and coping strategies needed in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic crisis. Methods: This study is a systematic review using the PRISMA method using a detailed search in the electronic databases of ProQuest, PubMed, ScienceDirect, Scopus and SpringerLink and Cochrane. Results: Resilience and good coping strategies are needed by healthcare workers to deal with stress during the COVID-19 pandemic. The resilience and coping strategies of healthcare workers can be improved by thinking positively, doing fun activities, worshipi ng, exercising regularly, improving sleep quality, eating nutritiously, staying social and getting social support from the environment. Conclusion: Resilience and coping strategies have a protective role in overcoming mental health problems of healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. Routine counseling, coping strategy activities and stress management concepts for health workers can be an option for hospital management in order to provide support to their employees. © 2022 MPPKI.
