Abstrak
Regenerative engineering (RE) is the convergence of advanced stem cell science, material science, physics, clinical translation, and developmental biology to regenerate organ and complex tissue systems. It is a development of tissue engineering, which was first advanced as a method of restoration and repair of human tissue. In recent years, advances in regenerative techniques have shown promise in treating various clinical problems using existing advanced technology to harness the body’s therapeutic and regenerative abilities. Currently, the treatment of human infertility focuses on regenerative tissue engineering methods. This article reviews recent developments in tissue engineering, focusing on different sources of stem cells, oxygen tension, inductive factors such as growth factors, biomaterial learning and mechanical stimuli, and internal and external regulatory mechanisms that control proliferation and differentiation. The extracellular matrix plays a crucial role in tissue engineering by providing a supportive environment for the formation of blood and lymphatic vessels, serving as an ideal substrate for cell transplantation and growth. The application of scaffolds in tissue engineering has demonstrated significant therapeutic promise for addressing human infertility. In contemporary society, numerous couples face challenges related to infertility, which can stem from various factors, including uterine injuries, the effects of chemotherapy, and intrauterine adhesions.
