Abstrak
Advances made in recent times in solar drying technologies have underscored the importance of indirect solar dryers with thermal energy storage to achieve maximum thermal efficiency and enhanced drying outcomes. The integration of heat storage systems into solar dryers is instrumental in improving drying efficiency, maintaining product quality, and supporting sustainable drying practices. Using advanced technologies and innovative design concepts, coffee beans and other agriculture produce can be dried using solar power to achieve superior thermal output while conserving energy for better handling after harvesting. Therefore, this study aims at studying PCM application as a heat storage during coffee drying by evaluating its energy balance.
