Introduction: Stunting is a serious global problem. The high prevalence of stunting poses a threat to long-term national prosperity and resilience. Stunted children will experience intelligence disorders, be susceptible to disease and even threaten death. Based on SSGI data in 2022, the prevalence of stunting in Indonesia is 21.6%, while the stunting prevalence target in 2024 is 14% and the WHO target is less than 20%. One of the efforts to accelerate the reduction of stunting is through providing supplementary food (PMT) with local food to stunted toddlers to improve nutritional status Objective: This research aims to explore the influence of local food supplementary feeding (PMT) on reducing stunting Method: This research is a systematic review using the PRISMA method. Selection of articles according to inclusion and exclusion criteria and search using the Google Scholar database with the keywords "PMT local food prevents stunting". Articles were reviewed from 2020-2023 and 12 articles were reviewed Result: The results of this study explain that providing supplementary food (PMT) with local food has an effect on the increase in body weight and height of stunted toddlers if it is given for a minimum of 30 days. Rebon shrimp is an animal protein that is easy to obtain and is relatively cheap. The increase in height by providing additional food in the form of rebon shrimp occurs significantly. Conclusion: Providing additional local food (PMT) in the form of processed rebon shrimp can be one strategy to accelerate stunting reduction. © 2024, Muhammadiyah Palu University.
