In this study, thalassemia modeling uses the genetic transmission of the disease as the parameter for disease spread. Thalassemia is a genetic disease caused by the body's inability to produce hemoglobin in the blood effectively. Individuals with major thalassemia must undergo blood transfusion therapy for their entire lives to extend the life expectancy. Further therapy (stem-cell transplant) with higher success rate can be performed to cure major thalassemia patients. The purpose of this study is to find the equilibrium point of thalassemia with therapy factors. The equilibrium point is the endemic equilibrium point, meaning thalassemia will continue to exist. The stability of the equilibrium point is locally asymptotically stable. The most significant parameter influencing the initial therapy (blood transfusion) is the consistency rate and for the further therapy (HSCT) is the external factor of patients undergoing treatment. © 2026 Author(s).
