Introduction: Lipomas are common, benign, soft-tissue tumors containing mature adipose tissues that rarely develop in the head and neck region; however, these should be considered as one of the potential diagnoses of a neck mass. Most lipomas develop in subcutaneous tissues, but deeper tissues may also be involved. Between 15% and 20% of lipomas involve head and neck masses and between 1% and 5% involve benign oral cavity neoplasms. We reported the case of a patient with lipoma on the left sub-mandibular region of the face. Case report: A 54-year-old man was admitted to Cipto Mangunkusumo hospital with an initial complaint of swelling on the left mandible with a painless, mobile, and smooth surface that had been present for 1 year prior to admission. Computed tomography revealed a radiolucent image of the left mandible. The diagnosis was a lipoma on the left mandible. Complete surgical excision should be performed on lipomas because of the potential for recurrence after inadequate surgery. Conclusion: A submandibular incision can provide good visualization of the tumor and also lead to a better esthetic end result for the patient. © 2020 by Nova Science Publishers, Inc.
