Abstrak
This work has demonstrated an integrated microwave sensor-filter architecture that combines a hairpin bandpass filter and an open-loop resonator (OLR) sensor operating at distinct frequency bands for solid material detection. The proposed design successfully addresses the common limitation of functional interference in conventional integrated sensor-filter systems by separating the sensing and filtering operations in the frequency domain. The proposed architecture enables dual functionality, where the bandpass filter operates at 2. 45 G H z while the sensing resonator provides a separate resonance near 2 G H z, ensuring electromagnetic and spectral independence between filtering and sensing mechanisms. Electromagnetic field analysis confirms that the electric field is strongly confined within the sensing gap at 2 G H z and concentrated on the hairpin resonators at 2.45 GHz. These results confirm that the frequency-decoupled filter-sensor integration provides a compact and reliable platform for dual microwave communication and material characterization applications. © 2026 IEEE.
